Thiel, Ph.D.Dave Thiel is a Senior Environmental Scientist at Pearl Engineering, specializing in Wastewater Treatment, Air Pollution Control, Sludge Landspreading, Environmental Toxins (Dioxin, PCBs), and Process Measurement (i.e. sampling, analysis, and flow determinations in both liquid and gaseous streams). Dr. Thiel has over 24 years of Environmental Experience including: 15 years as Manager of Environmental Research for Nekoosa Papers, Inc. /Georgia Pacific; 5 years as an Environmental Consultant for Envirogen, Inc. in the Pulp and Paper, Wood Products, and Polyurethane Manufacturing Industries; and 4 years as Environmental Coordinator/Research Services Manager for the Research Department at Stora Enso North America. He was also a Pulping and Bleaching Scientist at Nekoosa Papers for 3 years and an Adjunct Professor of Chemistry at the University of Wisconsin at Stevens Point for 4 years. Dr. Thiel holds a Ph.D. in Physical Chemistry from the State University of New York at Stony Brook and a Bachelors of Science Degree in Chemistry from St. Norbert College in De Pere, Wisconsin. |
