Julie A. Rice, P.E.

Julie Rice is a Senior Project Consultant, specializing in Mechanical Engineering and Project Management on Industrial Facilities, with an emphasis on Pulp and Paper Mill Process Systems, Chloralkali Process Systems and Food Service Process Systems. Projects span from multi-million dollar Greenfield and Brownfield capital investments to complex plant rebuilds and expansions.

Ms. Rice has over 23 years of experience in industry, including 9 years at Pearl Engineering,  and 12 years as a Senior Staff Project Mechanical Engineer for Nekoosa Papers (Georgia-Pacific Corporation/now Domtar Industries) in Nekoosa and Port Edwards, Wisconsin, including the Project Management of Construction of a new Lime Kiln and Recausticizing Plant and Chlorine Dioxide Generating Plant, and 2 years as a Mechanical Project Engineer for Appleton Papers.
 
Ms. Rice has recently completed a multi-million dollar Greenfield and Brownfield thirty-month project assignment in the Chloralkali Industry to convert the Plants’ mercury based technology to a membrane based technology. Responsibilities included management of the Engineering EPCa Contract, Safety, Security, Materials receiving and Cost Accounting. 
 
Ms. Rice is a graduate of Michigan Technological University with a Bachelors of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering and is a Licensed Professional Engineer in Wisconsin.
